Jillian Eddy Founded The Scrap Pile in 2023 as a solution to a large problem seen by all but noticed by few. Having spent the last 6 years working in film in both New England and New York City, Jillian saw a pattern of discarding scenery that was barely used. With a background in community theatre she was raised with the idea of creative reuse, and experienced many opportunities to exercise storytelling on little to no budget. Seeing materials that she would have gotten so much use from, discarded in unthinkable quantities made her form TSP. After gathering a group of like minded people who work behind the scenes and are seeing this problem on a daily basis, TSP has set out to begin a new normal in the entertainment world.
Natalie joined TSP in May of 2024. After working for 15 years as Scenic Artist and seeing the need for different sustainability practices in the entertainment industry, The Scrap Pile was the perfect fit. Natalie is an avid Scuba Diver and has a passion for conserving our oceans and our planet for the next generation, specifically her niece and nephew. She holds her MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Arizona and is a current member of USA 829.
